Our church has some wonderful people. Some true servants. Did you know Margie Soesbe has prepared communion each Sunday morning with the help of Diana Holmboe for 15 years. She just passed it off to Renee Miller because of her failing eyesight. Did you know Ed and Carol Barker have a steady flow of guests to their house for food and fellowship? Not just old friends, but recent attenders and visitors. Did you know Linda Wilken has been coming in and doing the tithe count on and off for 17 years? Did you know that for over a decade Laurie Spitzengel has been teaching the 2nd and 3rd grade class?
I was looking at some ten year old pictures of Steve Katz and Rhett Hyman in the sound booth working the computer. You can turn around on a Sunday and probably see one of them still. Did you know Shannon Christensen has been working for the youth group for longer than I can remember? She sure loves those kids. And wait . . . the entire worship team, and, I could go on and on. Many of you have been faithful for years. With Christ as the foundation . . . well, 1 Peter 2:5 says it perfectly, “you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
Have a fantastic day.
