  • Useful commodity
  • Old Testament importance
  • Implies the condition of our world
    • Preserves
    • Savor
  • Transforms what it comes in contact with

• Light
  • Implies the condition of our world
  • Old Testament images
  • Jesus IS the light
    • You are light

• Wherever we go we should ask these questions
  • Do I bring flavor?
  • Do I bring preserving presence?
  • Do people see the goodness of God through my life?

• Don’t be left in the salt shaker or be hidden under a bowl
